आईडीएफसी म्यूचुअल फंड का मिडकैप फंड आज सब्सक्रिप्शन के लिए खुल गया है। यह एक ओपन-एंडेड इक्विटी स्कीम है जिसका उद्देश्य मिडकैप सेगमेंट में मुख्य रूप से इक्विटी और इक्विटी-लिंक्ड सिक्योरिटीज में निवेश करके दीर्घकालिक पूंजी प्रशंसा उत्पन्न करना है।

यह एक इक्विटी आधारित म्यूच्यूअल फण्ड है अतः Equity से सम्बन्धित टैक्स नियम लागू होते है जैसे इक्विटी के सम्बन्ध में 10 %+ Cess यह टैक्स तब लगता है जब आपने कोई म्यूच्यूअल फण्ड यूनिट्स एक वर्ष से ज्यादा अपने पास होल्ड करके रखा है और जब आपको 1 लाख से ज्यादा प्रॉफिट होता है।अगर अपने कोई म्यूच्यूअल फण्ड यूनिट्स एक वर्ष के अन्दर खरीद कर बेच दिया है तो उस पर शार्ट टर्म कैपिटल गेन टैक्स लगेगा जो की मौजूदा नियम के अनुसार 15 %+Cess लगता है अगर आपको म्यूच्यूअल फण्ड यूनिट्स को होल्ड करने पर हानि होती है होती है तो आप इसे अपने इनकम टैक्स रिटर्न फाइल करते समय अधिकतम 8 वर्ष तक अपने कैपिटल गेन से सेट ऑफ कर सकते है
